Pilot Sport 5 TYRE REVIEW

Normally buy michelin Pilot Sport 4. The first time I bought these, I was very happy with the performance. Great grip round the corners, good grip and braking distance in the wet and dry! So with the PS5's coming out, I was hoping these would better than the PS4's. Unfortunately I wasn't as impressed with the PS5's. They don't grip as well round the corners, and have quite a bit of oversteer at certain speeds. Where as the PS4's on the same corner, at the same speed would grip quite nicely. I won't be buying these again and will be going back to the PS4's.

Screw in on just 4k miles from new, needs to be replaced as “close to sidewall” Too expensive and not repairable on this kind of cases! Not good value or durability for the money !

Terrible in the snow was my first impression but then discovered the car was was just terrible regardless of tyres. Superb in the wet and incredible grip in the dry. Overall I’m extremely impressed with the tyres in 98% of the conditions I’ve driven in bar a couple of days freak weather earlier in the year.

A very safe tyre with predictable grip but that’s about it..absolutely no rim protection and not very engaging to live with..if you have a car that’s a bit feisty for you get these,just don’t expect to feel overwhelmed by them when you fancy a spirited drive as they have a little too soft side walls and the traction breaks away safely but far too early.
