Corners Like It Is On Rails

After user another brand for years on end, a friend mentioned the Pilot Sport 5 as an alternative, so I took the plunge, and I certainly was not disappointed, I have so much confidence in the ability of these tyres in the wet and dry, these tyres have totally transformed the cars ability in all conditions, I didn't buy tyres, I brought rails.

Excellently. Reliable grip in the wet which gives me peace of mind.

They are a good tyre. Maybe a little noisier than the brand they replaced. Overall wear seems to be slightly less than previous tyres.

Solid performance without wear

Excellent grip on cornering especially in wet weather conditions. Car feels almost like it’s on rails and a lot quieter with regards to road noise. Definitely will buy again.

Rather disappointed with PIlot Sport 5. This is the second car which I've used them on, and foolishly thought they might be better on another car (an up! gti). The bar which they had to surmount wasn't too difficult- the car had 4 year old Landsails on them. However, Pilot Sport 5, even in comparison to them, are not as sporty, despite their name, the turn in isn't as good, the mpg has fallen, braking no better and and the steering is, at best, equal. As stated, this is twice that I've bought this tyre for different cars and compared to their predecessor, PIlot Sport 4, Pilot Sport 5 are disappointing.

They are tyres. I’ve always put high rated, good brand tyres on my cars. Some are quieter, some grip well in the wet, some last well, some feel more sporty. These are really good on all fronts. Cost more than the rest, so I want them to last longer!! So far so good!!
