was expecting slightly better traction in cold+damp but i didnt have any reference point to compare to really

Tyres are quieter and perform in rain well too.

Brilliant tyres, can’t go wrong with Michelin

They seem fine but the have not been exposed to severe wet or winter coditions. The car feels more stable on bad roads.
