Great Road Tyres
I have had 6 sets of Road 6’s and always found them to provide superb grip in both wet and dry conditions and give good mileage. I ride all year covering around 8000 miles per year, they are my go to tyres for year round confidence.
A marked step up for me on all the other tyres I have used
I am a fairly experienced rider and have ridden a range of motorbikes over decades. I currently ride the K1600GTL so have a limited range from which to use as the tyres need to be a "GT" version capable of heavy and powerful bikes. I have had a lot of success in fairness with other premium makes but this is my second set of Road 6 GT. Right off they feel very positive in the front steering and a noticeable improvement to others. In all conditions i find then very good and I feel confident in all aspects. Tyre wear too is as good or better for my style of riding so whilst a little more expensive this evens out for me. The one thing i find is that even when nearing the end life i still get a great performance on corninging and feel.
Superb
Fitted a set of the Road 6 GT’s to my K1600b for our trip to the Alps, and they didn’t disappoint. Rode through heavy rain and in 37 degree heat and the tyres were faultless. Great grip offered in all conditions and certainly gave good levels confidence for progressive riding. We covered 2,500 miles two up and fully loaded for an 18 day trip and the tyres are still in good condition with plenty of tread left.
Best set of rubber I've ever bought
Planted, grippy, confidence inspiring. No looking back for me. Best investment I've made for my bike.
Excellent
After having different brands of tyre on my 3 BMW RT while not the cheapest I can't fault the Road 6 GT
3 months with the road 6 GT
Got to say love them, feel very planted when riding twisty roads not long back from a trip in France, Definitely will buy again Black Round And Sticky, mobile fitter was fantastic fitting my tyres
Pilot Road 6 GT
Fantastic grip, wet or dry. They seem to be wearing well , probably for me the best tyre I've had on this bike. They don't track lines and cover most road surfaces without fuss.
Surprisingly Good
After riding with Metzler 01s for the last few years it was with some trepidation that I switched to Road 6 GTs. I have to say that it was certainly the right decision, grip in both dry and wet is exceptional and the longevity surprised me. As I ride a K1600b and always 2 up, the tyres have easily passed 5,000 miles and 3,500 of that is touring with full luggage.
Great feel, wet ot dry
Bought these for my BMW K1600, which has had Bridgstone BT23s for 7 years. Decided to try something different, as a friend has these R6s on his RT1250 and recommended them. Took the punt and have to say I am impressed. Have done over 4.5k on them and there's plenty of tread left, enough I reckon for my trip to Spain/Italy in September. Grip is first rate, wet or dry, not that there's been much wet time lately but in a heavy downpour in Italy, they never felt anything other than secure, even over drain covers. In the dry, I've had the sensation they were sucking the bike onto the road. There's no obvious signs of them squaring off yet, so that's a good sign and so long as the longevity is good, I see no reason not to get another pair fitted after these wear out.
Better than ever!
I've been using this range of tyres since the launch of Pilot Road 2 in 2007, and they have never disappointed. I moved to them then primarily for grip in the wet, but basically these tyres perform well in all respects, and Michelin has just made them better and better with each new version. Even the longevity (least important to me) has improved!
